With Doug Lea's blessing, I have set up a Codehaus project
(jsr166-mirror) to mirror all the JSR166 material from his CVS
repository, so as to create artefacts to upload to the Maven repository.
This will allow us to remove the dependency on the artefact from the
Coconut project (which hasn't been updated in ages), and use the "Real
Thing", i.e. the code that really will be in Java 7 and Java 8.
This is still the very beginnings but I have uploaded artefacts to the
Codehaus snapshots repository.
I haven't actually checked whether jsr166y and extra166y are compatible
with the java.util.concurrent classes in Java 6 or whether you need
jsr166 and jsr166x to use them. If you need jsr166 then it has to be in
the bootclasspath not the classpath in order to work.
I still have some work to do to get the Gradle build right and to check
consistency of everything, but we can now play with the "Real Thing" not
some two year old version :-)
