Do we know of anyone who can get the list set up on Google Groups with
the current membership from the Codehaus list as the initial state?

I suggest we only really need gpars-dev and gpars-user; maybe
gpars-announce, but simpler to just have the two.

Just go with one single list, as there's not much traffic.

As to the migration, I don't know.
You might have to manually fetch the list of members from the Xircles interface, and then add them through the Google Groups interface, I guess.

Unless this is a straightforward process, could we leave the re-subscription up to the existing members to do themselves, if they're interested?

You'll lose 95% of your subscribers.
Not sure it's wise.

Unless someone pays money according to numbers on the list, I'd rather
have interested people sign up, after all they did once.

Re: [gpars-dev] Mailing lists

It's called inertia.
There might be persons really interested, but loosely involved, and they won't notice that the mailing-list is closing, not aware there's elsewhere to look at, and would be happy to stay in the loop.
It'd be sad to lose most of your subscribers because you didn't do the little step of adding them back in the new list.
