[gpars-dev] TeamCity and GPars

Russel Winder-2
For once, and about time too I hear you say, I looked at the TeamCity
Codehaus Linux build fail. I think the trouble may be fairly obvious, it
appears to be using  using a truly ancient version of Gradle that
doesn't understand JDK7. Why isn't it using the Gradle Wrapper?

To me it seems we're running the usual "./gradlew clean build" command at TeamCity. The error message from the log says:

[12:28:43][Step 1/1]
[12:28:43][Step 1/1] FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
[12:28:43][Step 1/1]
[12:28:43][Step 1/1] * What went wrong:
[12:28:43][Step 1/1] Execution failed for task ':compileGroovy'.
[12:28:43][Step 1/1] > invalid source release: 1.7
[12:28:43][Step 1/1]
[12:28:43][Step 1/1] * Try:
[12:28:43][Step 1/1]
[12:28:43][Step 1/1] BUILD FAILED

which makes me think we need to set a requirement for JDK 7 on TeamCity linux boxes correctly.

Confirmed. Fixing the jdk dependencies has made the build green - https://teamcity.jetbrains.com/viewType.html?buildTypeId=bt368
